March 2022 Orange County Chamber Newsletter

Message from the Director

I see a light at the end of the tunnel . . . and I am hopeful that you can see it, too! As the weather begins to warm, we seem to finally be getting past the pandemic restrictions of the last two years and can return to running our businesses and going about our daily lives with some sense of normalcy. New businesses are opening, and as I drive around the county, I am seeing more activity at local businesses.

I am looking forward to meeting as many members as I can to see how the Chamber can help get everyone re-started! I’ll be visiting as many of you as I can over the next couple of months.

One program we are looking forward to re-starting is our “Cash Mobs.” Please contact us if you would like to be part of this fun way to boost sales and increase your customer base. We’re also looking for members to sign up for our member-to-member discount program. Participation is easy, doesn’t require any additional investment for member businesses, and is just one of the many free benefits offered to each member. Please let us know if you would like more information.

Finally, let’s all plan to get out and have some fun at our upcoming events! The Orange Uncorked Wine Festival, to be held on May 7 & 8, is shaping up to be a great event, so get your tickets and plan to join us at our beautiful new venue overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains in Somerset! Following that, our Annual Business and Industry Appreciation Picnic will be held on May 19 at Liberty Mills Farm. Check out the website and our Facebook page for more details on these and other events. Remember to eat, stay and shop local.

I’ll be seeing you soon!
