EDWARD JONES - YVETTE RUIZ
Experience and Background
My career with Edward Jones began in 2014 because I wanted to be able to help others feel confident with their retirement goals. I was not taught about the value and importance of family wealth strategies, life insurance or retirement savings, which prompted me to teach my children and now I enjoy teaching others.
Before Edward Jones, my executive background was in insurance. I enjoy working with people who are ready to learn more about investing, begin the process of long-range planning with life insurance, long-range retirement goals and legacy and estate strategies. My passion is helping people who are ready to make an impact on their long-term strategies.
My husband and I have lived in Spotsylvania for 25 years and we are Ohio State Buckeye college football fans and enjoy cooking and entertaining. We have two sons who are serving in the military and a daughter in college.
Alayna, our branch BOA, and her husband have lived in Lake of the Woods for 16 years, and they have four children and five grandchildren. She enjoys spending time volunteering and spending time with her family and friends.
Our office serves Locust Grove and the surrounding communities and as a branch team, we enjoy being active in our communities and participating in community-based events. Our commitment is to help others by offering monthly seminars to help people become more knowledgeable about available services.
Currently, I am serving on the Orange County Chamber of Commerce board and Alayna and I are Chamber Ambassadors. We are members of the S.A.L.T Council and Toastmasters, trainers for Dementia Friend Champions and I serve with the LOW Lions Club.
Together, we welcome the opportunity to learn more about you and your financial priorities. To get a better picture of where you want to be, it starts with a conversation over coffee and getting to know more about you. Give us a call and let's visit over a cup of coffee.

Germanna Foundation Conference July 17th and 18th
I hope everyone is getting excited about our upcoming Virtual Germanna Conference July 17 and 18, 2020. We have great speakers and topics to present along with you, the audience, having the opportunity to ask questions of our experts. Our first webinar, featuring Dennis Loba, was a great success. You asked fantastic questions and a couple of real stumpers for Dennis.
I encourage you to sign up now for both days of the conference.
With this year’s conference not taking place in person, we miss the opportunity to gather together. I will truly miss seeing everyone that attends and getting to hear the personal stories of Germanna. I hope 2021 sees us gather at Germanna once more.
Germanna needs your help this year to keep growing our mission and reach.
Each year The Germanna Foundation relies on your support to keep growing and expanding. Your financial support:
keeps our archaeologists in the field maintains and expands our library holdings
allows us to put on programming to tell the story of Germanna
preserves our properties
the Visitor Center
the Siegen Forest
Fort Germanna archaeology site
Salubria
Hitt Farm property
AND put on great programs like the conference.
The conference is one of the ways we raise money to support our mission.
I understand this year is very different from past reunion/conference weekends and while we will miss the opportunity to gather together, this is an opportunity to meet and learn, and to introduce new people to the Germanna experience.
Last year we had two generous members challenge the rest of the membership to a fundraising goal. They offered to match 1:1 for every dollar up to $5000. The membership met and exceeded that challenge and we raised a total of $12,500 (including the match). This year, I would like to add my own challenge to the membership to reach a total goal of $15,000 by the end of the conference.
Germanna is reliant on the generosity of YOU, our members, to support the mission. I call on you to meet the challenge and encourage others to give to Germanna.
I look forward to seeing everyone on July 17 and 18.
Stay safe and health and I wish you the very best of the summer!
