During these troubling social and economic times, we all need to lean on each other as residents, citizens and business owners in Orange, Virginia. I wanted to take a few moments and thank the Orange Chamber of Commerce for continuing to electronically grow with the website and emails. The look and layout are very user-friendly and easy to navigate, and will help us all stay connected as we do our part in social distancing, while still trying to maintain a bit of normalcy and search for ways to keep impacted businesses and members in mind.
As we prepare ourselves for the reopening of the business sector and begin to reintroduce Chamber meetings and gatherings, I wanted to pass along my thanks to all who have attended past (and future) events as they are a true testament to my business successes. Networking at the Chamber Events has been key in acquiring new leads and prospects for my ROKD Garages & Pressure Washing business. The art of in-person conversation, a good old fashioned “business card exchange”, or taking contacts into smart phones has led to more than 60% of my scheduled and paid jobs. In lieu of in person meetings, the website with directories and links is an excellent way to inform members and site visitors of all that Orange has to offer.
Social media platforms can generate “hearts” and “likes”, but in the end, being a member of the Orange Chamber of Commerce has done more for me than any other format. Thanks for all that your team is continuing to do as we look forward to seeing each other soon!
