UPDATE OUR FIRST CLASS:
Dear friends and neighbors!
John and I have decided to open a new art school in Orange, VA.
We don’t have a name yet (working on it), but we do have a beautiful spacious studio at the Silk Mill building in Orange and pretty much everything else to run it.
As many of you know, John and I are both artists who have been teaching drawing, painting and sculpture for most of our lives. Also we are the founders of the Bridgeview School in NYC since 2001.
Since moving into Orange in 2020, John has been an art teacher at Woodberry Forest School and we have conducted almost 10 Art Camps/Retreats bringing adults and kids from other parts of the country.
So, we thought that now it would be a good time to offer our knowledge and expertise to our local community.
We will work with adults and kids ages 12 and up teaching them how to draw and paint. Classes will be in the afternoon and evening during the week, perhaps some intensive workshops on weekends and definitely landscape painting starting this Spring.
To begin, we are only looking for one month commitment and hope to start in January. Class size will be 6 – 7 students, with highly individualized approach, so all levels are welcome including complete beginners.
