As a newcomer to the area, the Chamber has been a huge networking and learning opportunity within the local business community. Getting to know the businesses has given me the opportunity to acclimate to local interests, shopping habits, business practices and more. It has also given my business positive local exposure. Additionally, the support I have received from Chamber members has been immense!
Being a member of the board gives me the opportunity to creatively connect fellow businesses in the Gordonsville area with other O.C. Chamber members. “Together we are stronger” is true, for sure! Being able to contribute to the Chamber (as much as my time allows me to) in any way is a great way to try to give back and to help build the network, to learn more about the community and local trends as well as about the “bigger picture”.
I am a German born artist, printmaker, blogger and sole entrepreneur, my gallery is located in Gordonsville, VA and I specialize in fine custom picture framing. I have been framing for 30 years, but as an artist, you can find my many other interests all over CAVALLO: the gallery features original art, an organic indie self-care section, and artisan made jewelry and gifts. The shop mascots are Titus and Pandora, two dapple doxies with an abundance of personality.
